22 June 2025 (London) The Society of International Gas Tanker and Terminal Operators (SIGTTO) has appointed Hans Weverbergh as its new General Manager. Hans Weverbergh will join SIGTTO from 01 July 2025 on a three-year secondment.
Hans Weverbergh is currently a Senior Director at Excelerate Energy with more than 30 years of experience across LNG, Ethane, LPG and Ammonia. This has encompassed, transportation, onshore, and offshore FSRU terminals. In addition to holding senior leadership roles, Hans has served as a Master and Pilot of liquified gas vessels.
SIGTTO President, Lloyd Bland commented: “Hans has broad leadership experience across the liquefied gas industry, including a past role on the SIGTTO General Purpose Committee. He is well positioned to lead SIGTTO and enhance support of the membership through the evolving liquified gas transportation and terminals landscape".
Hans stated: "I am pleased to commence my role at SIGTTO and recognise the important tasks ahead. I look forward to collaborating with the membership and wider industry to achieve our goals in support of safe and incident free operations”.
